In this role, you'll:

Work as part of a team to deliver Human Factors (HF) system integration across projects and business‑as‑usual activities.
Identify and develop HF initiatives that support continuous improvement, innovation, and improved safety outcomes.
Provide HF expertise to strengthen safety culture across the organisation.
Manage and deliver technical HF leadership across multiple projects and HF reviews.
Perform HF integration and assurance tasks to support project delivery.
Identify, monitor, and address Human Factors issues.
Lead improvements in HF foundations and practices.
Develop and integrate HF requirements into project and system design processes.
Prepare HF technical reports and conduct Human Factors analyses.
Represent the HF team in stakeholder forums, project discussions, and cross‑functional engagements.
Lead HF processes that support transformational change in a complex environment with diverse stakeholders and competing priorities.
Manage competing priorities while ensuring HF assurance requirements are met.

About you

Strong demonstrated ability in applying HF techniques in complex, high‑reliability environments.
Strong experience in consultation, facilitation and representing Human Factors in a variety of internal and external stakeholder situations.
Skilled at identifying and addressing Human Factors challenges, managing resistance to change, and integrating contemporary good‑practice approaches to improve system safety.
Highly skilled at producing HF assurance artefacts and exhibiting knowledge of key design lifecycle HF requirements.
Ability to translate complex findings into practical design solutions.
Recognised as an ethical, professional communicator who translates technical information effectively and engages stakeholders through workshops and collaboration.
Experienced in analysing performance issues, preparing HF technical reports, and contributing to continuous improvement across Transport for NSW. Multi modal transport experience is highly desirable.
Recognised as being an integral part of an HF team providing support and guidance to fellow team members.
