About Hunter Boorn

Hunter Boorn is a growing purpose-led infrastructure, housing and capability business. We work with Aboriginal organisations, community housing providers, government and the private sector to deliver projects that create genuine social and community outcomes.

We're a small, fast-moving and highly collaborative team, looking for a capable, organised Business & Administration Coordinator to keep the business running smoothly as we grow.

This is a broad, practical role. You might be organising travel one day, onboarding a new employee or client the next, updating Xero, coordinating insurances, preparing branded material or keeping diaries and meetings under control. We're looking for someone who enjoys being the person who makes things happen.

The role

Working around 20 hours per week, you'll provide administrative and operational support across the business, including:

diary and meeting management for the Managing Director and leadership team

domestic travel bookings, accommodation and itineraries

Xero administration - invoices, expenses, reconciliations and liaison with our bookkeeper

staff onboarding and offboarding - documentation, systems, equipment and inductions

new client and project onboarding

maintaining business, project and supplier records

insurance certificates, renewals and corporate compliance documentation

branding, marketing, social media and company materials

formatting proposals, capability statements and presentations

events, meetings and team activities

general office and business administration.

You don't need to be an expert in all of these. What matters is that you're organised, proactive, comfortable learning new systems and happy to take ownership.

About you

You may have worked as an Administration Coordinator, Office Manager, Executive Assistant, Team Assistant or Business Support Coordinator. Ideally you'll bring:

excellent organisation and attention to detail

strong written and verbal communication

confidence managing competing priorities

solid Microsoft 365 skills - Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams

some experience with Xero or similar accounting software

an eye for presentation and confidence working with branded documents

sound judgement handling confidential information

a practical, positive approach - if something needs doing, you work out how to get it done.

Experience in consulting, professional services, construction, property, housing or the community sector is useful but not essential.

Flexibility

We're deliberately keeping this role flexible - around 20 hours per week, structured to suit you. That could mean school hours, three shorter days, another part-time pattern, or a casual arrangement that works around other commitments.

Some time with the team in our Sydney office will be valuable, but we're happy to discuss a mix of office and flexible working for the right person.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
