The Opportunity

As the Contract Administrator at Built you will provide leadership, guidance, and influence through the full life cycle of the project from administrative and financial procedures and controls to procurement and costing.

Here’s what a typical day might look like for you:

Assist with the setup of the project including Head Contract Admin Guide, prepare and monitor procurement program and prepare trade package tender documentation
Preparation of Subcontractor agreement including standard and special conditions and resources to specific trades
Manage project registers and schedules along with other project administration tasks and document control measures
Responsibility for project completion documentation and assist in compiling ‘as-built’ documentation and Operation and Maintenance manuals
Preparation of cost control procedures and assist with monthly cost reports and forecasting of preliminaries and trade costs

In this role you will have exposure to the commercial activities of the project and be responsible for all facets of the process from procurement and planning, project document control and contract administration. You’ll see it all in this role!

You won’t shy away from a challenge and will always own the problem, knowing you’ve got the full support of the team. Here are the essentials you’ll need for this role:

Experience in contract administration practices and solid experience in a similar role
Tertiary qualifications in quantity surveying, construction management, construction law or other relevant discipline
Exposure to managing contracts within large project environments
Strong level of commercial acumen coupled with an ability to demonstrate a commitment to safety, teamwork and building strong relationships

Your ability to show initiative, adapt to changing situations and your innovative mindset will hold you in good stead.
