About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to join our growing Family Law Team. In this pivotal role, you will take on greater responsibility by providing advanced paralegal support, managing complex files, and mentoring junior staff. You will work closely with Lawyers and senior team members, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy and professionalism while ensuring superior client service and efficient case management.
Your Day-to-Day Will Involve:
- Managing complex client files and assisting with case strategy in collaboration with Lawyers.
- Drafting, reviewing, and preparing legal documents and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Supervising junior paralegals and administrative staff, providing guidance and support.
- Liaising directly with clients, courts, and external parties to facilitate case progress.
- Managing electronic filing systems, e-Briefs, and online court document lodgement.
- Overseeing document and file management processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Handling general office administration and ad hoc duties as required.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will:
- Have at least 3 years of paralegal experience within a legal environment, with significant exposure to Family Law.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of family law procedures and court processes.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities, with experience mentoring or supervising junior staff.
- Possess exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise competing demands effectively.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and legal document management systems.
- Show initiative, resilience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal support.
