The Opportunity
We are currently looking for motivated and detail-oriented recent graduates to join our General Liability team in Perth. These positions offer a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals and build a career in the legal industry. If you are a proactive individual with a passion for litigation, this role is ideal for you.
We welcome applications from students in their final year of study who are seeking a graduate role for next year, and can join us as a paralegal over the coming months, part time or full time, to gain hands-on experience and get to know the team at WK. We then award graduate offers for next year by 30 October to commence on 1 January 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lawyers in reviewing and drafting advices, court documents, witness statements, settlement agreements and correspondence
- Review medical records and expert reports to prepare chronologies and summaries of evidence
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Prepare briefs to experts and manage discovery of documents
- Assist in managing communications with clients, barristers, and court
- Prepare and organise materials for court appearances and meetings
What you need
- Must have a law degree or have recently graduated
- Must be able to commit to full time work
- Must have full working rights in Australia
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
