Reporting to the Project Manager, the
Site Manager is responsible for leading all on site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
As a key member of the project leadership team, you will provide direction across site operations, manage multiple work fronts, and drive project outcomes through strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all site based construction activities from commencement through to completion and handover
- Provide leadership and direction to Site Managers, Site Supervisors, Cadets, Graduates, and subcontractors
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE requirements
- Develop and manage short term construction programmes to achieve project milestones
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, plant, labour, and materials to maintain programme outcomes
- Manage site logistics, trade sequencing, and construction methodologies across multiple work fronts
- Monitor quality outcomes and proactively manage defects, non conformances, and project risks
- Lead subcontractor and project coordination meetings
- Work closely with the Project Manager to manage programme, construction, and delivery risks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders
- Promote continuous improvement and best practice construction methodologies
Skills & Experience
- 7+ years' experience in commercial construction, including experience in a Site Manager role ideally with Health experience
- Proven experience delivering projects safely, on programme, and to a high standard
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large site teams and subcontractors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and project delivery
- Ability to identify and manage safety, construction, and programme risks
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
- Strong computer literacy and experience using construction management software
