About the role:
The Road Policing Enforcement Division (RPED) is responsible for delivering operational and administrative roles required by Victoria Police as an enforcement agency. RPED works closely with state government partners in the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Department of Transport and Planning and Transport Accident Commission in the enforcement of road safety camera and police officer issued infringements.
Consisting of both VPS and Sworn staff members; RPED issues all road safety camera infringements, which involves strong engagement with road safety partners and contracted service providers to maintain the traffic camera network. Core functions within the RPED also include infringement review, nomination of relevant offences, brief preparation/prosecution assistance, mobile camera roster input, infringement evidence validation, tolling infringements/prosecutions, high risk driver investigations, and analysis of enforcement trends.
RPED is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst (Team Leader) to mature the analytical capabilities within the division. As the successful applicant you will join the team and deliver high quality team management, stakeholder engagement and analytical skills to benefit multiple work units within RPED. The Senior Intelligence Analyst position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and providing key insights and direction which will guide enforcement activities, identify risks to the community and provide intel products which will inform critical decisions around asset placement and the effectiveness of enforcement.

Your duties will include:
- Developing intelligence products to enhance the use of available data in relation to Road Safety.
- Undertake the collection, evaluation, collation, analysis and controlled dissemination of information with a focus on analysis on identifying targets and emerging trends.
- Direct and manage the flow of active files to ensure the timely and efficient processing and completion of tasks in accordance with legislative and local procedural requirements.
- Supporting the operational functions of RPED including input and coordination of mobile camera rostering and data research relative to the infringement management system.
- Preparing and analysing infringement paths relative to fraudulent activity to support investigators at a local and regional level.
- Liaising with and developing good working relationships with other departments of Victoria Police and key external organisations and stakeholders as appropriate in order to provide timely and accurate intelligence and statistical advice.
- Undertake a wide range of administrative functions including the preparation of statistical reports and briefing papers.
- Maintain contemporary knowledge of traffic management issues to ensure best practice in all RPED functions.

- Developed written and oral communication skills with an ability to deliver information in a concise and efficient manner.
- Demonstrated skills in comprehending and applying complex legislation/policy.
- High level problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage in a team environment through flexibility and achieving common goals.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, both verbally and written.
- Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Strong computer skills.

Further Information:
- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
