Position Overview
We are seeking Principal Power Systems Engineers to join our market-leading Power & Energy Systems team. Based in Melbourne, with flexibility for other locations in Australia, you will be integral to the delivery of cutting-edge power systems projects that support the renewable and traditional energy sector. Our team has an unparalleled track record in power systems studies and grid connections, with extensive experience in the National Energy Market (NEM) and a long-standing focus on the connection of renewable generation since 2002.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Conduct and deliver high-quality power system studies for renewable energy, traditional energy and industrial power systems projects across the region, collaborating closely with developers, investors, NSPs, and AEMO.
Oversee project management tasks, ensuring that all projects meet internal and external standards, industry regulations, and are completed on schedule and within budget.
What You Bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
Proficiency in data management, reporting, and an aptitude for power systems modelling tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD), ideally with a background in utility power systems planning or operations.
Experience managing technical quality, timelines, and budget for large-scale projects Stakeholder management experience, with a track record of successful negotiations to ensure project success.
