In this role, you'll:
Lead the strategic oversight and management of contracts and asset performance frameworks, supporting the whole-of-life delivery of critical motorway assets, ensuring performance, compliance and value for money outcomes within a focused portfolio of critical operating infrastructure. You’ll implement governance frameworks that support strong asset performance across service delivery, safety, asset assurance and continuous improvement.
You’ll build and maintain trusted partnerships with key stakeholders, including asset managers and internal and external service providers, to ensure contracts are delivering efficient, reliable and customer-focused outcomes. This includes negotiating contractual arrangements, transitioning assets to operations, managing performance, coordinating Subject Matter Expert inputs, improvement initiatives and resolving complex issues that impact network operations.
You’ll provide expert advice and insight, frameworks or evidence-based reporting to senior leaders, ensuring risks, trends and performance issues are identified and addressed proactively. You’ll play a key role in driving continuous improvement across contract performance, while maintaining strong governance and ensuring alignment with government priorities.

About you
You’re an experienced leader in operating asset management with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical intensive transport infrastructure or the continuum from traffic management to asset criticality. You bring expertise in contract governance, performance management and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to manage complex relationships and deliver outcomes.
You have well-developed commercial judgement and a strong understanding of how contract performance influences asset, customer and operational outcomes. You’re experienced in analysing performance trends, managing risks and driving improvements whilst balancing performance, risk and cost and ensuring motorist, worker and asset safety.
You’re a strong communicator who builds credibility and trust with stakeholders and can navigate complex operational environments. With relevant qualifications or equivalent experience, you bring the leadership capability to guide teams and deliver high-quality asset outcomes that support network performance.
