Your New Role
We have an opportunity for a Product Manager – Tailored Insurance & Defined Benefits to join our Product & Insurance Practice. This role will play a key part in designing and delivering tailored insurance and defined benefit solutions that support employers, win new business, and strengthen our competitive position.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and optimisation of tailored insurance and defined benefit offerings for select employer segments. You will work across the full product lifecycle—from proposition development through to implementation and ongoing management—ensuring solutions are market-leading, compliant and deliver strong member outcomes.
You will also play a critical role in supporting tenders, developing compelling proposals and contributing to new business growth, partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the development and delivery of tailored insurance and defined benefit propositions aligned to employer and member needs
- Support tender responses and new business opportunities, including writing and reviewing high-quality proposals
- Partner with Acquisition & Growth and Corporate Development to support mergers, transitions and new business initiatives
- Maintain and enhance tailored product offerings, ensuring they remain competitive, compliant and fit for purpose
- Collaborate with insurers, advisers and internal stakeholders to deliver successful commercial outcomes
- Contribute to Board and management reporting, including insights on product performance and opportunities
- Provide subject matter expertise to support tailored insurance product strategy, defined benefit maintenance, member experience and value stream initiatives
How do you exceed our expectations?
- Strong understanding of insurance, superannuation and defined benefit products
- Strong experience in tender support, proposal writing and new business development within financial services Exposure to proposition development, employer solutions and/or mergers or large transitions
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver outcomes in complex and uncertain environments
- Commercial mindset with a focus on delivering growth, retention and member outcomes
- Strong written and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, client-focused proposals
