ICT Category Management team in Digital Strategy, Sourcing and Assurance (DSSA) within the Digital NSW division of the Department of Customer Service (DCS)
-
Location: McKell - Sydney CBD, for at least 50% of the working days in a fortnight.
About the role:
This is an opportunity to help shape how NSW Government procures and manages some of its most strategic software and cloud services.
Working with the Category Manager, you will support the management of major All of Government agreements, panels and supplier relationships. You will analyse markets and spend data, contribute to category strategies, support commercial negotiations and provide trusted procurement advice to agencies across government.
You will work with senior stakeholders, leading technology suppliers and procurement professionals to deliver value for money, manage commercial risk and improve procurement outcomes across government.
Key responsibilities include:

Contributing to category management and sourcing strategies for Software and Cloud services

Supporting contract management, supplier performance reviews and commercial negotiations

Analysing spend, market and supplier information to inform procurement decisions

Supporting the management of All of Government agreements and panels

Providing procurement guidance and advice to NSW Government agencies
-
Identifying opportunities to improve value, reduce risk and strengthen supplier performance

Contributing to benefits realisation, reporting and category governance activities
About You:
You are commercially minded, analytical and confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
To be successful, you will bring:

Experience in ICT procurement, category management, contract management or supplier relationship management

Exposure to Software, Cloud, SaaS or technology procurement environments
-
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
-
Experience reviewing contracts, pricing, supplier performance and commercial risks
-
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data and spreadsheets
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Sound judgement, problem-solving ability and attention to detail
-
Knowledge of NSW Government procurement frameworks is desirable

The ICT Category Management team manages a portfolio of significant technology agreements used across NSW Government.
