About The Role

Build software and AI skills employers ask for AI is changing how teams build, test, deploy, and support software. This is your chance to learn practical tools, work on real client projects, and build experience employers value.

At FDM, up to 12 weeks of full-time training in our Skills Lab prepares you for client project work with leading Australian organisations. We match you to a role that fits your strengths and goals.

Start dates: rolling intake. Apply now.

Your first 12 weeks
You will work hands-on with object-oriented programming, Java, Spring Boot, React, Python, JavaScript, Git, SQL, cloud platforms, and AI integrations. You will learn how software is designed, built, tested, improved, and supported.

Roles you could move into

AI Engineer. Work with AI integrations as part of engineering teams building, improving, and supporting modern applications.
Software Developer. Design and build complex, scalable systems using sound engineering principles.
DevOps Engineer. Build fast, reliable pipelines to streamline development and deployment, so features can be delivered effectively.
Site Reliability Engineer. Design resilient cloud infrastructure to support the demands of modern applications.
Production Support Analyst. Investigate and troubleshoot application issues and provide timely solutions.

About You

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, or a related technical field
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Clear communication and collaboration
Ability to learn quickly
Full working rights (New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident/citizen)
Open to relocate for Sydney or Melbourne projects, with support
Commitment to FDM's 2.5-year Graduate Program

Working arrangement: Office-based three to five days per week, depending on the client.
