In this role, you'll:
- Support in providing advice on business case development aligned with Transport for NSW, NSW Treasury, and Infrastructure NSW guidelines to provide confidence to leadership and decision-makers that the proposal can be delivered efficiently and effectively and within the current budget context.
- Assist in undertaking wholistic review of the investment proposals on strategic fit, impact, affordability, deliverability including investment risk, deliverability and commerciality to provide high quality and strategic advisory to project teams.
- Collaborate within team and across stakeholders to ensure consistent and robust practices are applied in business case development and build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and issue resolution.
- Maintain a project pipeline and compile lessons learned to drive continuous improvement in investment decision-making.
- Conduct research and develop recommendations to support evidence-based decisions.
- Support in ensuring risk assessments are conducted in accordance with Infrastructure NSW and NSW Treasury requirements and apply optimal risk-based assurance pathways to support investment decisions.
The team also comes together in person for activities such as branch all-in days, training sessions, planning workshops and collaborative work.

About you
- Strong understanding of business case development within a government or infrastructure context.
- Ability to interpret and apply strategic investment frameworks and policy guidelines.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Analytical skills to conduct research and provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Familiarity with delivery feasibility, procurement approach, risk assessment methodologies and assurance pathways.
- Effective collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain up-to-date knowledge of project pipelines and strategic priorities.
