The Role

This opportunity will suit those who wish to pursue a career that will provide exposure to both advisory and compliance services, ultimately allowing them to develop their career towards becoming a trusted advisor. Working alongside a team of specialists and managers with opportunities to work directly with any of our 5 Partners on certain projects.

Working under an experienced manager, your main responsibilities will include:

Taking responsibility for a client portfolio to cultivate valuable client relationships and identify opportunities for business development
Applying knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry
Working on a range of entities including companies, trusts, self-managed super funds, partnerships, and individuals
Preparing the financial statements and tax returns for your team’s portfolio of clients
Coaching, mentoring and supervision of junior staff members
Contributing to the ongoing improvements to processes adopted by the firm
Providing support for ad-hoc special assignments and value-add work for clients, including business performance reviews, development of tax planning strategies and attending to estate planning matters and wealth preservation

Our ideal candidate will have

At least 3 years’ Australian experience in a similar role
CA qualified or nearing completion, with a Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
Demonstrated experience in a Chartered Accounting Firm of a similar size in a professional services environment (business services or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; articulate and well-presented
Attention to detail, the ability to self-review and perform quality control on work papers
A naturally inquisitive mindset and desire to understand your clients' overall operations
Willingness to learn
