The Role
HDR is seeking an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to join our National Building Engineering Services (BES) team.
With a focus on delivering complex mission critical and data centre projects across Australia and the broader region, this is an opportunity for an experienced consulting engineer who enjoys combining technical leadership with project delivery, client engagement and team development.
If you're looking to lead complex mission critical projects, influence technical outcomes, mentor emerging engineers and contribute to the growth of a nationally connected electrical practice, we'd love to hear from you.
This role offers a clear pathway into broader design management and project leadership.

Lead the design and delivery of mission critical and data centre projects, supporting clients through all stages of the project lifecycle.
Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing design oversight, technical assurance and quality leadership.
Drive successful project outcomes through effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges involving power distribution, resilience, system integration and energy efficiency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
Support business development activities including proposals, tenders and technical presentations.
Mentor and develop engineers, contributing to capability building and the continued growth of the Melbourne electrical practice.
Take on Project Leader responsibilities, managing project delivery, coordination, programme and performance.
What Makes This Role Different?
This is more than a traditional technical design role.
You'll have the opportunity to work on some of the industry's most technically demanding projects, helping clients solve complex challenges relating to resilience, reliability, scalability and energy performance within mission critical environments.
