Accenture Products & Platforms for HR, Talent and Skilling (APP HTS) is a dedicated software business within Accenture, specializing in complementary applications for SAP environments. With a focus on enhancing SAP ERP Human Capital Management, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Plant Maintenance, APP HTS develops, sells, supports, and maintains innovative add-on solutions that extend core SAP capabilities. While our 150 specialists in software development, product management, support and testing help HR and Plant Maintenance teams to make the transition to working more efficiently and effectively, raising productivity, and driving better business outcomes. The WiredUp platform, although not related to SAP, will join the APP HTS business unit as a new product offering within the software business.
The Work:
The Software Engineer will be part of the software development team and participates in all phases of the software development project life cycle, includes analysis, design, develop code, test business software applications and project implementation. This will include:

Develop and maintain high-performance web applications using C# ASP.NET Core and RESTful Web API Indeed

Design and implement secure, scalable APIs consumed by the React front end and potentially third-party integrations

Implement authentication and authorisation using JWT/OAuth2, including integration with Azure Active Directory / Entra ID

Apply SOLID principles and clean architecture patterns to maintain a maintainable and testable codebase

Design and optimise SQL Server schemas, stored procedures, and queries for performance at scale
-
Write optimised and secure SQL queries and use ORMs such as Entity Framework Core effectively

Evaluate and implement caching strategies (e.g. Redis) to reduce database load and improve response times

Contribute to and influence system architecture decisions, ensuring the SaaS platform is built for multi-tenancy, scalability, and security

Work on complex problems having broad impact that require in-depth analysis and judgment to obtain results or solutions

Participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards of code quality and maintainability
-
Mentor junior and mid-level developers, setting standards for code quality, patterns, and best practices

Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and scalability constraints as the product and user base grow
