We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Geelong team on a 12‑month fixed‑term, full‑time contract. In this role, you will lead our product team’s technical efforts, drive the development and enhancement of our product while providing guidance and leadership to the broader development team.
Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
In this role you will:
Take a leading role designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining software systems that are robust and scalable, and meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Management, and other Developers to design and deliver solutions.
Continually improve organisational systems and processes to maximise employee efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity to deliver quality Client outcomes.
Skills you’ll bring:
Technical Skills
Software Development: Minimum of 3 years’ experience across all phases of the SDLC, with advanced proficiency in C# and TypeScript/JavaScript.
Web & API Development: Strong experience with ASP.NET Core, modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React, and building RESTful APIs.
Cloud, Microservices & Architecture: Advanced expertise in Azure, including serverless solutions. Skilled in microservices design and well versed in architectural patterns, particularly distributed systems and event driven architectures.
SQL Server: Strong proficiency with SQL Server or similar relational databases, including database design, performance optimisation, and management best practices.
Security: Solid understanding of secure coding practices, operating within a regulated enterprise environment, and familiarity with frameworks such as the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
Methodologies & Tools:
Agile, DevOps & Delivery: Experience working within Agile environments, adopting DevOps practices, and executing delivery via automated pipelines. Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
Tooling: Familiarity with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
Testing: Proficient in unit testing and test‑driven development (TDD).
Version Control: Strong experience with Git.
