2x Fixed Term Full-Time 3/31/2028 & 1x Permanent role
You crave a career that pushes you, where you'll meet challenges head on and you're guaranteed to grow.
This is your opportunity to broaden your experience and perspectives, step out of the confines of a standard project role and expand your scope to work with an interconnected ecosystem of industry professionals.
In this role, you'll:
Lead the development and maintenance of integrated project schedules across a portfolio of complex projects and programs, supporting effective planning, delivery and performance monitoring across Transport for NSW.
You will establish and manage end‑to‑end schedules across the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with the Schedule Management Framework, strategic objectives, delivery milestones and resource availability. Working closely with project managers, delivery teams, technology teams and senior stakeholders, you will proactively identify schedule risks, dependencies and conflicts, providing clear insights and timely recommendations to maintain delivery confidence.
You will monitor schedule performance using recognised methodologies such as critical path analysis and earned value management, integrate schedule information with cost and risk data, and contribute to holistic portfolio performance reporting.
You will also provide subject matter guidance, coaching and uplift of scheduling capability across the project delivery ecosystem, embedding consistent standards, tools and best practices.
For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.
About you
You are an experienced project scheduling professional with a strong track record managing integrated schedules across large, complex project or program portfolios.
You bring deep knowledge of scheduling methodologies, tools and standards, and are confident using platforms such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Smartsheet, Planview or similar.
You are highly analytical and detail‑focused, with the ability to translate complex schedule data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. You work collaboratively with project managers and senior leaders to balance delivery ambition with realistic resource and capacity constraints, and you are comfortable operating with autonomy in dynamic environments.
To be successful in this role, you will hold appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrate equivalent relevant professional experience, along with relevant project or scheduling qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMBOK, P3M3 or equivalent, and be motivated to uplift scheduling maturity and delivery confidence across Transport for NSW.
Note: This role has three (3) positions available — one (1) permanent role and two (2) fixed‑term roles until 31 March 2028.
