About the Role
The program is focused on delivering a complete, end-to-end domestic flight booking journey for prime customers, establishing the Experience Enablement Platform (EEP) as the core orchestration layer across all customer channels.
The Quality Engineer will be embedded within an Agile squad and play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of testing and quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle of this high-profile transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Engineers to develop testable, complete, and automatable Acceptance Criteria
- Estimate test effort and prepare and maintain detailed test plans aligned to project requirements
- Ensure coverage across functional and non-functional testing practices including performance, accessibility, and security
- Create comprehensive Testing Notes and Test Cases across multiple testing levels
- Develop and align test cases with business requirements, executing them against defined Acceptance Criteria
- Lead the execution of Acceptance Criteria in a method-driven, QE-led approach
- Partner with Engineers to ensure adequate test coverage across integration, system, and end-to-end testing
- Drive squad ownership of quality and embed best practices within Agile team structures
- Maintain and adapt automation test suites in line with application changes and project impacts
- Contribute to automation strategies and manage test data requirements proactively
- Adhere to and promote CI/CD principles, coding standards, and security best practices
- Identify and track environment-related issues through appropriate forums
- Identify, raise, track, and close issues through appropriate channels or as story completions
- Actively participate in squad ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Build domain knowledge and document product information to support continuous improvement
Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years' experience across web, mobile, and backend platforms
- 3–5 years of Agile/Scrum experience
- Strong background in functional and automated testing
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or Kotlin
- Version control experience with Git and GitHub
- Solid CI/CD knowledge and practices
- Hands-on experience with Cypress and Rest Assured
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog
- Solid integration, system, and end-to-end testing experience
- Strong test planning and defect management capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Background in airline industry preferred
- Familiarity with automated deployment strategic and CI/CD tooling is ideal
- Experience in at least one non-functional testing discipline
