About the role:
This position will sit within the Continuous Improvement, Uplift and Technology team, supporting the Frontline Support Services project that is responsible for the employment and ongoing maintenance of the reservist workforce.
The Frontline Support Services project aims to design, implement and evaluate a new Police reservist - Frontline Support Officer (FSO) function to strengthen frontline service delivery and reduce administrative burden on operational police members. This role will support the project team across a variety of administrative tasks, including engagement with applicants, maintenance of applicant databases, administrative support of recruiting processes for applicants in process, and administrative support for onboarding of new employees in the reservist stream in consultation with the Victoria Police Academy and other internal stakeholders.

Your duties will include:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to tasks as required.

Managing applicant enquires via phone and email and providing accurate advice on the positions.

Confidentially maintaining systems and databases in accordance with policy.

Collecting data relating to monitoring of the proof of concept ongoing.

Provide high level customer service and liaise with a range of key internal and external stakeholders.

Supporting the Project Manager and Stream Lead (Commander)

Assist in arranging and participate in meetings and conferences.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

Demonstrated IT experience, including strong organisation and file management skills, and knowledge of operating databases and computerised personnel systems.

Time management skills, the ability to self-motivate, the ability to prioritise competing tasks and to work to strict deadlines.

The capacity to source information and documentation outside of own work area's control.
-
Ability to work with limited supervision, be proactive and be a team player.
-
Well-developed interper sonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.

A focus on delivering organisational wide outcomes that enable our people whilst providing capability and/or capacity uplift.

Understanding of legislation, policies, public sector issues and procedures relevant to Victoria Police.

Strong integrity and discretion.

One (1) x fixed term VPS3 position is available for 2 years until 30 June 2028.

This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
