Arihant Infrastructure Tech / Database Developer
We are expanding our core data engineering team in Adelaide (11 Flinders St, Kent Town) and are looking for a dedicated Database Developer. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a base salary of AUD 101,000 / year + super. In this role, you will take ownership of our relational database architectures, optimizing storage engines, and writing high-performance server-side logic to back our enterprise infrastructure platforms.
What you will be doing:
- Developing, testing, and maintaining complex stored procedures, triggers, views, and user-defined functions.
- Conducting deep-dive performance tuning, query optimization, and index management on high-transaction SQL databases.
- Designing and implementing robust data schemas, normalization strategies, and structural changes to support new software features.
- Managing automated database backup schedules, replication streams, and disaster recovery validation.
- Collaborating with our backend software engineers to build scalable data integration APIs and clean data transformation pipelines.
What we are looking for:
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a Database Developer or Backend Engineer heavily focused on database development.
- Advanced commercial expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle Database environments.
- Strong capability in parsing, manipulating, and optimizing complex query execution plans and database scripts.
- Practical understanding of database security protocols, encryption, and access control models.
- Mandatory requirement: Full, unrestricted legal working rights within Australia at the time of your application.
