Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Civil Designer to join our growing team working. Reporting to the Civil/ Structural Discipline Manager, you will be required to provide civil design across a variety of minerals and energy projects.
This role will be based at our Osborne Park head office until September 2026 when we will relocate to our new Head Office on St Georges Tce, Perth. Adjacent to the train station, the City office has state of the art end of journey facilities, including secure storage for bicycles and scooters, a gym, tennis court, basketball hoop and a swimming pool available for all Primero employees.
Your Key Responsibilities

Develop civil design solutions using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Prepare and maintain 3d models, drawings and design documentation for earthworks, roads, drainage, hardstands and associated site infrastructure.

Undertake design coordination within multidisciplinary design and engineering environment.

Review of vendor drawings and design data.

Provide support to the project team to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, standards, and procedures.

Communicate effectively with the project team, clients and to other project stakeholders.

Produce discipline specific deliverables that meet Primero Groups, the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Produce project drafting deliverables ensuring quality, schedule and integrity requirements are met.

Liaise with lead designers, engineers, and junior team members.
What You ‘Can Do’
-
5+ Years experience as a Civil Designer within mining or resource industry projects.

Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
-
Strong experience in 3D modelling, drafting and design development for bulk earthworks, roads, drainage, and site infrastructure.

Demonstrated experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.

Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary design data.

Understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.

Proven ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.

Strong problem solving and planning skills.
