About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to provide commercial leadership across national IT sourcing and supplier management. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager and working closely with the CIO, you will lead strategic sourcing and category management across hardware, software, cloud, and IT services. You will drive value, reduce risk, and ensure supplier performance aligns with organisational and technology objectives.
In this role, you will support critical technology services by ensuring IT supplier spend delivers maximum value, performance, and security. You will help enable a stable and effective IT environment—balancing commercial outcomes with social impact in a complex NFP setting.
Key responsibilities:

Develop and execute category strategies across IT spend (software, cloud, hardware, telecoms, services)

Deliver end-to-end procurement, including RFx, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract award

Lead commercial negotiations to secure optimal pricing, SLAs, and contractual outcomes

Manage IT supplier performance and governance, including reviews, renewals, and dispute resolution

Conduct supplier risk assessments (financial, cyber, privacy, modern slavery)

Partner with IT, security, finance, and business stakeholders to align sourcing with strategy

Support contract management and compliance, ensuring adherence to procurement and risk frameworks

Drive cost optimisation and value-for-money outcomes across IT spend
About You
You are a commercially astute procurement professional with strong IT category expertise and the ability to navigate complex supplier environments.
Key capabilities:

Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Procurement, IT, or related discipline

7+ years of experience in IT procurement and strategic sourcing

Experience across software (SaaS/licensing), cloud, hardware, telecoms, and IT services

Strong contract management and vendor governance experience

Proven ability to manage end-to-end sourcing and complex negotiations

Strong commercial and analytical skills (TCO, ROI, cost modelling)

Knowledge of IT licensing models (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, SAP)

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to influence senior IT leaders
