Our client is a well-established Sydney-based visual effects studio delivering high-end work across film, television, and streaming projects. The studio is seeking experienced
Compositors to join the team on an initial three-month contract, supporting a range of complex visual effects work across episodic and feature projects.
The team is looking for artists with strong technical and creative compositing skills, particularly across set extensions, face replacements, and CG integration work.
The Role
The studio is seeking talented
Compositors with experience delivering polished, photoreal visual effects for high-end productions. Working closely with supervisors and production teams, you will be responsible for integrating CG elements seamlessly into live-action plates while maintaining high visual quality and continuity.
This role is ideal for artists who are detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable working within fast-paced production environments.
Sydney-based compositors are strongly preferred; however, remote candidates located within Australia will be considered for senior-level applicants.

Key Responsibilities
- Composite high-quality visual effects shots for film and episodic productions
- Integrate CG elements seamlessly into live-action plates
- Deliver realistic set extensions, face replacements, and complex compositing work
- Perform cleanup, paint, keying, colour matching, and roto integration as required
- Collaborate closely with VFX Supervisors, Leads, and production teams
- Troubleshoot compositing challenges while maintaining project deadlines and quality standards
- Ensure shots meet client and studio creative expectations
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Compositor within film, television, or high-end VFX production
- Strong experience with:
- Set extensions
- Face replacements
- CG integration
- Multi-pass compositing workflows
- Advanced proficiency in Nuke
- Strong understanding of colour, lighting, perspective, and photoreal integration
- Excellent eye for detail and continuity
- Ability to work efficiently within production schedules
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Highly Desirable
- Experience working on episodic streaming or feature film projects
- Familiarity with ACES and modern colour pipelines
- Experience working with deep compositing workflows
- Ability to handle technically challenging shots independently
- Previous experience working remotely within studio pipelines
