Operating as a centralised development and enablement function within Coles Technology, the team unites product, engineering, and platform capabilities to deliver the intelligence layer of the enterprise. We serve every part of Coles — from computer vision applications that enhance in-store experiences and reduce loss, to forecasting, optimisation, and decision-support solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and agility across our supply chain, retail operations, and corporate functions.

We are currently recruiting for a Site Reliability Engineering Manager to implement and maintain SRE practices to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of Data & AI platforms. You will develop and manage monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues whilst also, participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.
You will focus on automation with operational tasks and deployment pipelines to reduce manual effort and improve system health.
About you and your skills

Proven years in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or platform operations roles.

Experience supporting cloud-native platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).

Hands-on experience with monitoring, automation, and incident management tools.

Exposure to operational risk, compliance, and security practices.
Skills and Qualifications
-
Strong understanding of SRE principles and IT service management (e.g., ITIL).

Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform).

Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Certifications in SRE, cloud platforms, or ITIL are desirable.
