What you’ll do:

Lead the strategic planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple external audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Manage, mentor, and inspire audit teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the audit lifecycle.
Develop and deepen trusted client relationships by gaining a comprehensive understanding of their business operations, risks, and audit requirements.
Oversee and enhance the identification and assessment of financial and control risks, crafting robust and tailored audit strategies.
Provide expert advice on financial reporting issues and stay abreast of emerging regulatory changes to guide both clients and internal teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to address complex audit challenges and deliver value-added recommendations.
Champion initiatives to optimize audit methodologies, tools, and processes, driving innovation and efficiency within the team.

What we’re looking for:

Proven Experience: Minimum 7+ years in external audit, preferably with significant exposure to CIPS or related sectors, holding a recognised CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent qualification.
Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading audit teams, managing multiple high-profile engagements, and delivering exceptional quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
Client-Focused: Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence senior client leadership.
Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements pertinent to CIPS.
Analytical Acumen: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex financial and operational issues, exercise sound professional judgment, and provide actionable recommendations.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, adept at conveying complex audit findings and insights clearly to diverse audiences, including senior management and board members.
Innovator: A proactive mindset towards process improvement and embracing emerging technologies and methodologies in audit.
