Role Purpose
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for providing first- and second-line technical support to ensure the reliable operation of IT systems, hardware, software, and networks. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving technical issues, supporting end users, and maintaining IT services to minimize downtime and enable staff to work efficiently. Acting as a key point of contact for IT-related queries, the technician ensures a high standard of customer service while contributing to the ongoing improvement, security, and performance of Aqualand’s technology environment.
Responsibilities / Principal Tasks
· Act as the first point of contact for IT support, responding to hardware and software issues in a helpdesk or call centre environment
· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues
· Install, configure, maintain, and update computers, mobile devices, servers, applications, cloud services, and network equipment
· Implement and support on-premises, remote, and cloud-based environments, including Microsoft Server, Desktop, and Azure
· Maintain cybersecurity controls including antivirus, patching, and firewalls
· Repair and replace IT equipment and peripheral devices
· Adapt and configure systems and applications to meet user and business needs
· Monitor, maintain, and update IT assets, documentation, and inventory records
· Assist with IT projects, test new technologies, and support system improvements
· Maintain strict confidentiality of company and stakeholder information
· Conduct all activities according to Group HSE policies & procedures
Experience and Qualifications
· Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in a similar role
· Demonstrated experience with Windows computers, servers, and Active Directory
· Experience with LAN/WAN networking, including firewalls, VPN, VLANs and WiFi
· Knowledge and working experience with Microsoft Azure and other cloud vendors
· Working familiarity with Microsoft 365
· Experience in additional areas (SharePoint, Mobile Device Management, etc) desirable
· Backup, replication and Disaster Recovery
· Fault Identification & Problem Resolution

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
