Recruitment Consultant – Control Systems & Electrical Engineering
Location: Brisbane, QLD | Employment Type: Full Time
Are you a technically sophisticated Recruitment Consultant with demonstrable expertise in identifying, mapping and securing highly specialised Control Systems and Electrical Engineering talent across complex, asset-intensive environments?
This role operates at the convergence of engineering execution, workforce planning and data intelligence—supporting the mobilisation of critical technical capability across large-scale mining, energy and infrastructure projects characterised by multidiscipline interfaces and stringent delivery timelines.
Role Overview
You will assume end-to-end ownership of a deeply specialised recruitment portfolio spanning Control Systems, Automation, Operational Technology (OT) and broader Electrical Engineering disciplines.
Operating as a strategic partner to Engineering Leadership and Executive stakeholders, you will convert forward workload projections and project pipelines into structured, insight-led talent acquisition strategies. This will require the application of advanced market mapping, talent segmentation and data analytics to enable proactive hiring and workforce optimisation.
Success in this role is contingent on your ability to interpret technical complexity, navigate candidate-scarce markets and deliver precision outcomes within high-pressure, project-driven environments.
Core Responsibilities

- Undertake advanced market mapping and competitor analysis to identify talent pools, succession pipelines and passive candidate networks
- Conduct in-depth, competency-based and technically rigorous interviews across PLC, SCADA, DCS and Electrical Engineering domains
- Design and deploy highly targeted attraction campaigns aligned to project requirements, workforce planning cycles and market conditions
- Provide consultative guidance to stakeholders, incorporating real-time labour market intelligence, remuneration benchmarking and hiring risk mitigation strategies
- Leverage enterprise systems and data visualisation tools to monitor, analyse and optimise recruitment performance, ensuring robust reporting frameworks and data integrity
- Orchestrate a high-quality candidate experience, ensuring alignment across stakeholders throughout onboarding and probationary periods
