Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for enthusiastic and motivated speech pathologists who are experienced in, or ready to transition into, a P2 Senior Speech Pathologist role with our team at Joondalup Health Campus. This recruitment process will be used to fill the following positions:

A permanent, full time position (1FTE).

A 12-month, full time maximum-term contract (1FTE).
Job sharing arrangements will be considered for suitable applicants seeking part-time opportunities to collectively fulfil the available roles
You will provide a comprehensive speech pathology service to adult inpatient and outpatient populations presenting with swallowing and communication disorders associated with a broad range of diagnoses. In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will contribute to the leadership and development of the team through student supervision, mentoring and support of your colleagues, and fostering the growth of clinical capability across the service.
To be successful in this role, you will need to address the following selection criteria:

Essential:

Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology with eligibility for full practicing membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).

Advanced clinical skills and experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of adults presenting with swallow and communication deficits across a range of clinical areas.

Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate treatment programs including group programs.
-
Ability to act as a consultant in adult communication and swallowing disorders to internal and external stakeholders.
-
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a complex hospital environment.
-
Excellent caseload and time management skills with proven ability to independently meet clinical and non-clinical role requirements.

Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in a complex clinical environment.

Demonstrated experience in identifying and completing service development/quality improvement projects in area/s of specialty.
Desirable:

Have attained, or are working towards, credentialing in videofluoroscopic swallowing studies (VFSS) and/or flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES).
