Achieve Something Great
Join a specialist Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (BIRU) providing person-centred care to patients recovering from acquired and traumatic brain injuries.

You will assist to:

Support patients through their rehabilitation journey by delivering holistic nursing care that promotes independence, functional recovery, and quality of life.
Work as part of a skilled and collaborative multidisciplinary team, including nursing, medical, allied health, patients, and families, to support rehabilitation goals.
Develop your clinical skills in rehabilitation nursing, including cognitive, behavioural, and physical care management, within a structured and supportive team environment.
Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture that values continuous quality improvement within the unit.

Are You the Right Fit?
You will bring to the team:

A compassionate and patient focused Registered Nurse demonstrating a strong attention to detail, particularly in monitoring changes in cognition, behaviour, and physical function.
An effective communicator with excellent active listening skills, able to engage respectfully with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to support rehabilitation goals.
Demonstrates flexibility and empathy when working with patients who may experience cognitive impairment, communication difficulties, or behavioural challenges.
Brings a collaborative approach to practice, contributing positively to team culture.
Flexibility to work a rotating shift roster including weekends and public holidays.

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Share an example of a complex clinical situation you have faced. How did you apply critical thinking and evidence-based practice to ensure safe and high-quality patient care?
Describe a time when you worked collaboratively with patients, carers, and a multidisciplinary team to identify and respond to care needs. What communication strategies did you use to ensure effective and compassionate engagement?
