- Lead a major Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations transformation
- Own delivery, governance, adoption and commercial discipline
- Join a global manufacturing and engineering group with a program already in motion.
NEPEAN is seeking a hands-on Senior Project Manager to lead the continued rollout of our Dynamics 365 transformation program across a diverse group of manufacturing and engineering businesses. This is a delivery leadership role where you will drive execution, adoption and commercial control across a complex, multi-entity program already underway.
About NEPEAN and the role
NEPEAN is a global manufacturing and engineering group part way through a multi-year rollout of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, with CRM components across selected business units. Phase 1 is live, Phase 2 is scoped and approved, and several go-lives are ahead of us across Australian and international entities.
You would be joining a program already in motion, not starting one from scratch. You would inherit an established project team, an implementation partner, and a delivery roadmap, and your job is to drive it to completion with pace and control. This is a delivery leadership role rather than a status-reporting one. You will be embedded in the program, close to the business, and accountable for execution, adoption and commercial discipline.
You will work alongside our project team, our implementation partner and our business leaders across a diverse group of manufacturing and engineering businesses. Carving out time for transformation in busy operational units is one of the real challenges of this program, so the ability to engage time-poor teams and sustain momentum matters as much as technical delivery.
What you will own-
End-to-end delivery. Own the D365 roadmap across multiple regions and legal entities, managing the full lifecycle from design and build through testing, data migration, cutover and hypercare.
-
Governance and cadence. Establish and run the program roadmap, milestones, dependencies, RAID and executive reporting, and own the steering committee rhythm.
-
Change and adoption. Partner with the change function to lead stakeholder engagement, communications and training, and build engagement models that work for operational teams who are hard to pull away from the floor.
-
Business partnering. Work directly with business leaders to challenge legacy ways of working, drive standardisation, and act as a trusted advisor to executives and business owners.
-
Vendor and commercial management. Manage vendor contracts and SOWs, change requests, budget tracking and resource planning. Hold delivery partners accountable on quality, timeline realism and cost.
-
Delivery discipline. Use Azure DevOps to manage the delivery backlog, test cycles, releases and UAT coverage, and enforce structured delivery across sprints and environments.
What we are looking for-
8+ years in enterprise program or project management, with proven delivery of large-scale, multi-entity, multi-country D365 or comparable ERP programs.
-
Strong exposure to Finance, Supply Chain and CRM, and experience working with global system integrators.
-
A genuine understanding of the ERP implementation lifecycle and of D365 FinOps, enough to challenge a vendor on substance rather than take their word for it.
-
Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and agile or hybrid delivery models.
-
Exceptional stakeholder management across C-suite, business leaders and technical teams, with the ability to influence without authority.
-
Strong commercial acumen around change control and budget management.
The kind of person who will fit here
A hands-on operator, not a status-only PM. Comfortable with ambiguity, complexity and a fast-moving environment. Decisive, good at conflict resolution, and able to build trust quickly with people who are sceptical of transformation. A manufacturing, engineering or project-based business background is a real advantage, as is experience of global rollouts, CRM implementations, data migration and cutover. Microsoft PM or D365 certifications are welcome.
What success looks like-
The business actively adopts D365, and leadership trusts the program.
-
A strong, predictable delivery rhythm is established across the remaining go-lives.
-
Vendors are held accountable and the program stays within its commercial envelope.
-
The program delivers real business value, not just a sequence of system go-lives.
