Providore & Co is looking for a reliable, energetic and organised Warehouse Assistant / Delivery Driver to join our team at our Bowen Hills warehouse.
We are a Brisbane-based coffee roaster and café supply business servicing customers across Brisbane and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys a mix of warehouse work, deliveries and dealing directly with customers.
THE ROLE
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
- Receiving and organising incoming stock
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse
- Stock movement and general warehouse duties
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Delivering coffee, consumables and café-related products to customers
- Planning efficient delivery and collection runs
- Communicating with customers and our internal team regarding deliveries
- Using basic computer systems for order processing, stock management, delivery information and general warehouse administration
- Handling delivery issues, delays or damaged goods professionally
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Previous warehouse and/or delivery driving experience
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence with a good driving record
- Current Forklift Licence – Required
- Basic computer literacy and confidence using everyday business systems, including email, order processing and stock/inventory systems
- Ability to learn new software and internal systems with training
- Good knowledge of workplace health and safety
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a warehouse and delivery role
- Experience with courier, freight, distribution or similar delivery environments would be highly regarde
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work and understands the importance of getting the right products to our customers on time.
You’ll be representing Providore & Co when you're out on the road, so a friendly attitude, professional presentation and willingness to help our customers are important.
You don't need to be an IT expert, but you should be comfortable using a computer and learning the systems we use to manage orders, stock and deliveries.
