About the role
Mater Health Hub, Springfield is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Musculoskeletal Outpatients Senior Physiotherapist to join the team on a part-time (15.2 hours per week), 12 month contract.
Mater Health Hub, Springfield provides a broad range of private Allied Health outpatient services including musculoskeletal physiotherapy, women’s health physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Mater Health Hub is located less than 2km from the newly opened Mater Public Hospital Springfield. It is also home to more than 40 consulting Medical Specialists.
Salary range: $66.58 - $71.64 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The Senior Physiotherapist will lead the ongoing growth of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and general physiotherapy outpatient services within the context of rapidly expanding Mater Springfield services. You will deliver high level clinical services within musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and general physiotherapy outpatient specialties and work harmoniously and effectively with the multidisciplinary team. You will lead relevant service improvement projects and support patient centred, evidence based care.
About you
You have a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, a current AHPRA registration and eligibility to receive a Medicare provider number. You will also meet the below selection criteria:
- At least 2 years of Physiotherapy experience specifically in the field of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic outpatient Physiotherapy.
- Private outpatient or private practice experience desirable.
- Capability to independently manage broad caseload responsibilities with varied incoming referrals (including management of chronic conditions), and measuring patient outcomes.
- Contribution to continuous quality improvement in service provision.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and relationship building skills, including actively seeking opportunities to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Capacity to provide supervision and training to support less experienced health practitioners and students.
- Membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association desirable.
- Relevant clinical post graduate qualification highly desirable.
