Clinical Safety Coordinator | Quality and Safety Unit

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse to work within the Quality and Safety Unit reporting to the Quality and Risk Manager.
The Clinical Safety Coordinator leads implementation and monitoring of the Hospitals Quality Management through clinical incident management, data analysis and quality improvement. The position also supports embedding the National Safety and Quality in Health Service (NSQHS) standards and in preparation of the Hospital towards Accreditation.
As part of the Quality and Safety Unit, you will work closely with Managers and Team Leaders from across the Hospital to support the provision of high quality and safe care.
Remuneration: A base hourly rate of $62.29 - $67.02 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances (*QLD RN/Midwife CN Level 3.1-3.4*)
About You

Relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licenses with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Experience in, or a strong interest in clinical incident reporting and investigation, including Riskman administration and management

Demonstrated skills in staff education, including presentations and public speaking

Demonstrated experience or a strong interest in working in quality and safety with an active desire to enhance Safety and Quality culture at GPH

Current knowledge of National Safety and Quality in Health Service (NSQHS) standards

High level critical thinking and problem-solving skills

The ability to successfully work as a team member and independently when required

Excellent computer skills using the MS office suite of programs, including skills in Sharepoint (highly desirable)

Knowledge in policy review and management

Demonstrate ability to work as a motivated, enthusiastic and positive role model for all clinical and non-clinical disciplines and services within the hospital environment

Excellent work ethic and time management skills

Knowledge of audit principles and processes (highly desirable)
