As our Endoscopy Unit continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to provide advanced clinical leadership and expert support to our team. This newly created role offers the opportunity to influence clinical practice, support professional development, and contribute to exceptional patient outcomes within a busy and expanding service.

Your part in our Wesley Hospital team
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Endoscopy provides advanced clinical leadership and support within the Endoscopy Unit, working collaboratively with the Clinical Nurse Manager, Team Leaders and multidisciplinary team.
The CNC will play a key role in supporting staff education, competency development and clinical excellence, while promoting evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement across the department. The role will provide expert clinical guidance, support policy management and auditing processes, assist with complex clinical situations, and contribute to the ongoing development of nursing practice within the service.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Endoscopy nurse to make a meaningful impact on both patient care and staff development within a growing specialty area.
What makes a difference for us?

Bachelor of Nursing Degree or equivalent and current AHPRA registration.

Post-registration qualifications relevant to Endoscopy Nursing or a related specialty area, or working towards same.

Extensive and contemporary Endoscopy nursing experience.

Demonstrated experience in a clinical leadership role.

Experience supporting staff education, professional development and competency assessment.

Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement activities, audits and clinical governance initiatives.

Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

Commitment to evidence-based practice and person-centred care.

A commitment toward the mission of UnitingCare and the attainment of the goals of the Nursing Division.
