About the role
The Home Equipment Centre Coordinator coordinates the hire and sale of equipment and consumables to support efficient hospital discharge and ongoing care at home. The role coordinates equipment tracking and follow-up processes to ensure hired equipment is appropriately maintained and managed.
Key duties of the role
Ensure consumers are provided with consumables and equipment as per clinician referrals in a timely manner
Ensure that consumers are invoiced correctly as per their status for the sale of medical consumables and sale/hire of equipment
Maintenance of Home Equipment databases, information storage, and procedures
Work collaboratively with WCHN Clinicians to ensure a smooth transition of consumers to an adult service
Support and actively participate in a positive culture and safe work environment
Skills and Experience
Experience working in a health setting and dealing with the general public
Experience in data management and computerised information and invoicing systems
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Understanding of medical products and equipment, with strong communication and customer service skills
