About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer (Mobile Applications) to join a growing Australian organisation developing innovative technology solutions focused on telehealth, aged care, disability support, and workforce management.
This role focuses on cross-platform mobile application development and embedded Android solutions that directly improve outcomes for elderly Australians, NDIS participants, support workers, and care providers.
You will work closely with operational teams to design, develop, and improve internal platforms relating to:
· Mobile healthcare and wellbeing applications
· Telehealth and communication systems
· Cross-platform mobile applications
· Embedded Android devices and smart care technology
· Support worker scheduling and workforce management
· Client engagement and operational efficiency tools
· Internal reporting and connected platform solutions
This role would suit developers who enjoy practical problem-solving, building user-friendly mobile systems, and contributing to meaningful technology solutions within the healthcare and disability sectors.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications and software systems
· Develop cross-platform mobile applications using modern mobile technologies
· Support integration of APIs, backend services, and communication technologies
· Assist with embedded Android device development and integration
· Collaborate with management and operational staff to understand business requirements
· Troubleshoot, test, and optimise application performance
· Support future product innovation and system scalability
· Contribute to internal technical documentation and software improvement initiatives
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
· Experience with cross-platform mobile application development, including mobile UI/UX principles and responsive application design
· Experience integrating APIs and backend services
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
Highly Regarded:
· Experience with embedded Android systems or custom Android devices
· Experience with healthcare, aged care, disability, or telehealth systems
· Knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, or automation tools
· Familiarity with database management, including SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
· Experience with Git version control and agile development workflows
· Experience with Flutter, Java, or Kotlin development
