Description of the role:
Reporting to Advisors and Partners, the Family Office Associate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality family office and investment administration services. This position will involve portfolio administration, report preparation, compliance support, client service and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Collate and review data relating to client investment portfolios
- Assist with report writing, including Investment Policy Statements, portfolio reports and strategic asset allocation recommendations
- Support the Family Office Investment Committee with agendas, fund manager coordination, minutes and action items
- Assist with implementation of portfolio changes following review processes
- Maintain accurate client data in Xplan
- Prepare and lodge fee consent applications and support administrative compliance requirements
- Ensure AML/CTF requirements are current and up to date
- Liaise with family office fund managers and other service providers
- Prepare background materials for Advisor and Partner meetings
- Provide proactive, professional and responsive client service
- Assist Advisors and Partners in identifying cross-selling opportunities within the client base
Skills and Experiences:
What makes you ‘just right’:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 1–2+ years’ experience in a similar administrative or client support role
- Relevant qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline will be highly regarded
- Previous experience in professional services, financial services, banking or investment environments
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience with Xplan / IressFE and Analytics or similar investment platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
