Key Responsibilities
As a Lecturer, you’ll take on complex local and global challenges, using your skills and experience to advance Information and Communication Technology and drive meaningful change. Here’s how you’ll make it matter:
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Foster an outstanding student experience and encourage active participation and engagement in learning and teaching across the spectrum of the University’s undergraduate, and postgraduate program suite facilitating high quality, student-centred learning activities.

Support high quality learning and teaching strategies that facilitate improved student retention, employability and successful outcomes for students.

Contribute to the advancement of knowledge through a balanced research portfolio of high-quality outputs that demonstrate impact.

Undertake research that has the potential to achieve impact on policy and practice in the wider community.

Promote the performance and reputation of the Group through engaged scholarship and purposeful, impactful industry and community outreach activities.
About you
Applicants for these positions will hold a PhD or equivalent accreditation, or significant progress towards completion of a PhD degree in the field of Computer Science or a related discipline.
You will also have:

Demonstrated expertise in one or more of these areas - cyber security, artificial intelligence, data science, and advanced computing, evidenced through high-impact publications, competitive research funding, postgraduate supervision, and international collaborations.

Demonstrated ability to teach into undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the cybersecurity program, as well as broader ICT programs, supported by strong teaching skills, curriculum development experience, and a commitment to student engagement and learning excellence.

A track record of publication in high-impact journals.

Demonstrated ability to contribute to inter-disciplinary research while ensuring effective team communication and collaboration.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision to meet competing deadlines and work effectively as a member of a team and communicate with a range of stakeholders.
What we can offer
We have multiple opportunities available (2–3-year fixed term roles) and these can be based at either our Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast campuses. Salary
Lecturer Level B – Base range - $117,076.11 - $139,031.71 + 17% super. Full package range - $136,979.05 - $162,667.11.
