We're seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our Projects team at Marleston and play a critical role in protecting project outcomes, managing risk, and supporting successful delivery.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Operations & Projects, this is a senior role responsible for the commercial and contractual administration of active projects from mobilisation through to close‑out. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and will be trusted to manage competing priorities in fast‑moving project environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- End‑to‑end administration of head contracts and subcontracts
- Managing progress claims, variations, EOTs, contractual notices and registers
- Ensuring strict compliance with contractual requirements, timeframes and notice provisions
- Coordinating all contract‑related start‑up documentation, approvals and insurances
- Preparing accurate invoicing, progress claims and supporting documentation
- Managing contract close‑out, certification, defects and handover documentation
- Supporting cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting
- Working closely with Project Managers to resolve live commercial issues
- Maintaining clear, defensible records suitable for Tier 1 client scrutiny
This role requires sound judgement, strong contract literacy, and the confidence to raise commercial issues early and clearly.

Who This Role Suits
A commercially astute Contracts Administrator who is comfortable operating in environments where mistakes are costly and expectations are high. You think commercially, communicate clearly, and take ownership of your role.
You will ideally bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator or Project Coordinator in commercial or industrial construction
- Demonstrated experience managing variations, claims, EOTs and contractual correspondence
- Strong understanding of contract conditions and risk allocation
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong document control discipline
A National Police Check is required as part of our standard onboarding and client compliance requirements (we can assist with this).
Experience in mining‑adjacent projects, modular construction, or remote delivery environments will be highly regarded. A trades background or exposure to planning/cost systems (e.g. MS Project, Primavera) is also advantageous.
This role is not suitable for graduates or entry‑level candidates.
