About the opportunity
We are seeking Physician Registrars to work in our Internal Medicine teams at Werribee Mercy Hospital. Rotations to subspecialty experience are expanding rapidly. The positions are based at Werribee Mercy Hospital which is the fastest growing region in Melbourne.
Werribee Mercy Hospital is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Notre Dame.
The hospital serves a diverse community which permits a broad range of clinical presentations at varying stages. The opportunity to learn from this is unparalleled in metropolitan Melbourne due to the range of presentations and the focus of the hospital on providing excellent generalist care with subspecialty input when required.
The hospital holds level 1& 2 BPT accreditation from the RACP College. The Director of Physician Education is supported by the Director of General Medicine and the Director of Sub Speciality medicine to provide a strong education program to prepare for examination in collaboration with our network hospitals. Prospective examinees will find the diverse presentations excellent preparation for the clinical exam.

The physician body is rapidly expanding with generalists supported by a growing group of subspecialists with a strong interest in teaching, forming an excellent resource for clinical exam preparation.
The hospital has a stroke service and gastroenterology service. Terms are available in:
Secondments to level 3 and rural hospitals are available to complete all aspects of basic physician training.
You will be supported by advanced trainees in general medicine in core, core-related, cardiology and respiratory terms.
Come and join our Internal Medical teams at Werribee Mercy Hospital. Recruiting Australian Residents/ International Medical Graduates holding a current valid working visa and AHPRA Registration. Starting dates at varying terms and times throughout 2025 will be considered.
