Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

CSV Digital
CSV Digital provides a comprehensive range of IT services including mobility, network services, software support, court services support, in-court technologies, IT vendor management, business analysis, procurement, transcription services, telephony, and communications support. In its ‘day to day' operations the function will aim to ensure courts are properly supported in their day-to-day work and service to the community.
About the role
The Azure Engineer Lead is the primary technical lead role responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of cloud-based infrastructure solutions for Court Services Victoria. The role works within the Enterprise and Corporate Services Technical Infrastructure team, leading the technical approach to deliver infrastructure solutions based on best practice for security, scalability and high availability.
The Azure Engineer Lead also leads the ongoing technical improvements processes for the team within the Azure environment. This requires managing and maintaining a program of continuous improvement work, championing technical change and continuous evaluation of alignment with relevant security standards. This includes adoption and refinement of Agile based tools, practices and processes for workflow management and infrastructure as code using Azure DevOps and Hashicorp Terraform. You will help shape the success of Courts based systems managed within the Azure cloud environment.
Key accountabilities include:

Providing expert technical advice and guidance for the design and build of a cloud-based infrastructure design for the CMS project team, acting as infrastructure architect and senior project technical lead based on a sound understanding of industry best practice for security, design efficiency, cost management and service continuity.

Introducing and championing Agile processes; lead adoption of industry standard best practice use of Agile principles, practices and frameworks for the CMS project and CSV Digital Infrastructure teams.

Using specialist knowledge to develop and champion a DevOps cultural approach for the CMS project and CSV Digital Infrastructure teams.

Designing and implementing DevOps processes for infrastructure management using Infrastructure as code with Azure DevOps and Terraform.

Providing technical leadership to the infrastructure team SMEs in BAU management and maintenance of the CSV Azure Virtual Datacentre.
About you

Demonstrated technical experience with Microsoft Azure engineering and support, architecture design, networking, automation and security

Extensive experience in CI/CD infrastructure management with Azure DevOps and HashiCorp Terraform
-
Demonstrated extensive experience with SQL and SQL Server
-
Ability to translate project initiatives into technical solutions.
