DESCRIPTION

Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance with the ability to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment. More information regarding security clearances can be found here.

The PMO Program Manager is responsible for driving cloud transformation and migration projects to successful completion, keeping them on schedule and aligned to customer outcomes. Working within the Program Management Office, this role manages the day-to-day execution of program workstreams, coordinates across technical and business teams, and maintains visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery: Drive cloud migration and transformation projects to completion, maintaining schedule adherence and quality standards across all workstreams

Customer Engagement: Work directly with customer stakeholders to coordinate project milestones, manage dependencies, and support the execution of migration and modernisation activities

Program Coordination: Facilitate weekly alignment meetings, program-specific updates, and cross-team coordination sessions to ensure delivery teams remain synchronised

Milestone Management: Partner with technical delivery teams, solutions architects, and operations on project milestones; review and validate milestone schedules and deliverables

Tracking & Reporting: Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and status reports; provide regular updates to senior leadership on program progress, risks, and blockers

Risk & Escalation: Identify, track, and escalate milestone-level issues impacting project schedules; support development of mitigation strategies

Process Improvement: Define and implement process improvements using data and metrics to drive efficiency and delivery quality

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
