Our passionate Solicitors, Law Clerks, Paralegals, and Administration professionals have delivered justice for our clients who have suffered catastrophic back injuries, brain injuries, cosmetic injuries, birth injuries, delayed diagnosis of illness and children with cerebral palsy.

The Opportunity

Based in Brisbane-CBD, as the Queensland Practice Leader of Medical Law, you’ll play a pivotal role guiding a dedicated team of lawyers, paralegals and administrative staff as they support clients pursuing medical negligence claims.

Reporting to the Head of Medical Law, you’ll be leading and coaching the Queensland team to deliver exceptional client service, driving strong case outcomes, and fostering a high-performing, supportive environment where people grow. You’ll leverage our extensive relationships across Queensland’s personal injury department to drive the growth of our medical law practice and strengthen our national offering.

Cultivating strong relationships within Shine to uphold a cohesive and motivated team.
Demonstrating an entrepreneurial aptitude to market your own personal brand, and that of the team, to successfully help our clients and secure new cases.
Actively supporting and coaching your team to guarantee effective time recording, timeliness and satisfied clients.
Providing operational oversight and effectively managing budgets and team performance.
Progressing and resolving a range of medical negligence matters.
Providing the legal advice and representation our clients need and deserve to obtain maximum compensation.

What you’ll bring

Significant experience as a medical negligence solicitor.
A current practising certificate.
A strong understanding of, and ability to interpret relevant legislation and legal documentation.
