Senior Sous Chef (Full-Time)
Kiki, Darlinghurst NSW

Kiki is a vibrant and contemporary restaurant in the heart of Darlinghurst, celebrated for its modern Asian cuisine, energetic atmosphere, and exceptional dining experience. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our leadership team on a full-time basis.

Please note: Applicants must be currently residing in Australia and have valid working rights. Overseas applicants will not be considered.

About the Role

As Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to lead daily kitchen operations, maintain exceptional food standards, and support the ongoing development of our kitchen team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a chef who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has a genuine passion for modern Asian cuisine.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy restaurant environment
Strong experience with modern Asian cuisine
Advanced wok cooking skills
Experience working with hibachi grills and open-flame cooking
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards
Sound knowledge of food safety, kitchen operations, and cost control
Must be currently living in Australia with valid working rights

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations
Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all menu items
Lead and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
Manage service efficiently during busy periods
Assist with stock control, ordering, and food cost management
Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace standards
Contribute to menu development and seasonal offerings
