What’s the role?

We are looking for a mid-level lawyer to join our Consumer legal team, supporting a broad portfolio across mortgages, everyday banking, credit cards and personal loans. This is a hands-on role working closely with business stakeholders and operational teams on a wide range of customer-facing legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on day-to-day consumer banking matters across multiple product lines
Support the business in managing customer-related legal issues, including:
- powers of attorney and third-party authorities
- deceased estates
- account access and disputes (including joint account/customer disputes)
- settlements and discharge processes
Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and guidance materials

What do I need?

Admitted to practice as a solicitor in NSW
Minimum 4 years PQE in private practice or supporting a financial services business
Strong familiarity with consumer banking products and regulatory frameworks
Commercially minded with the ability to deliver clear, actionable legal advice
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
