What you'll be doing
As a Clinical Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the ward and assisting healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient and patient-centred care. This varied role combines workforce administration, patient data management, operational support and coordination activities within a high-volume clinical setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting workforce administration activities including recruitment, rostering, leave management, payroll processing and staff credentialing
- Maintaining accurate patient and clinical data while providing administrative support to nursing, medical and allied health teams
- Assisting with financial reporting, quality monitoring, accreditation activities and incident management processes
- Coordinating equipment procurement, maintenance and stock control to ensure the ward is fully operational
- Organising meetings, preparing documentation, scheduling activities and following up action items across multidisciplinary teams

Selection Criteria:
1. Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration
2. Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
3. Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software
4. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
5. Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment
6. Experience with computerised rostering systems (HealthRoster).
