About the role
We are seeking an experienced Rope / Mechanical Grab Operator to join our team operating specialized equipment for one of our major projects based in Melbourne, Victoria.

Key responsibilities

Operate rope and mechanical grab equipment safely and efficiently
Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance on plant and equipment
Execute excavation and foundation works in line with project specifications
Lifting and remove spoil from deep excavations
Work on piling, diaphragm walls and foundation systems
Coordinate closely with rig operators, dogmen, and site supervisors
Work closely with site supervisors and crews to meet project timelines
Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance
Identify and report any equipment or site issues promptly

About you

Proven experience operating rope or mechanical grab equipment on Bauer MC96 and or Liebherr 885 HD cycle cranes
Relevant tickets, VOC’s and open crane license
Pilesafe accreditation
Strong understanding of site safety and compliance requirements
Ability to work in a team and follow direction on site
Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship
Willingness to work long hours and or shift work
