As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and proactive legal assistant / paralegal to join our Sydney CBD team.
This role is ideally suited to someone with family law experience; however, we are also open to considering candidates with a minimum of two years' experience in another area of law who are looking to transition into family law.

About the role
Working closely with our lawyers, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality legal services to our clients. This is a hands-on position that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You will be involved in all aspects of legal support, including:
- Preparing court documents, correspondence, briefs, and legal documentation
- Managing lawyer diaries, appointments, and deadlines
- File management, including opening and closing matters
- Liaising professionally with clients, barristers, courts, and other professionals
- Assisting with court filings and procedural requirements
- Drafting routine correspondence and documents
- Preparing briefs for counsel and court appearances
- Managing billing, invoicing, and trust accounting processes where required
- Providing exceptional client service and support throughout the legal process

About you
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have previous experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or legal secretary
- Have family law experience or at least two years' experience in another area of legal practice
- Be highly organised with strong time-management skills
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Be confident using legal practice management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Take initiative and enjoys problem solving
- Have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour
- Value teamwork and client service
Working arrangements
This position is available on either a full-time basis or a minimum four-day-per-week arrangement for the right candidate. Flexibility in working arrangements may be available for the right candidate following the initial training and onboarding period.

Pay: $53,047.32 – $90,000.00 per year
