Summary of Role
The Warehouse / Distribution Employee Grade 2C role is responsible for:
Replenishing storage put-aways, picking, packing, labelling (finished goods and raw materials), loading/unloading of vehicles and operating forklifts/wave machine
Contributing towards SDI Strategic Priorities.
Conducting work in a safe manner, adhering to quality compliance requirements and demonstrating a strong commitment to SDI's values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork, and innovation.
Specific Responsibilites
Understands and is responsible for key warehouse functions
o Picking
o Packing
o Replenishments
o Vehicle and container loading
Enters incoming deliveries into ERP system
Prioritises workloads
Stocktakes and cycle-counts
Checks MHE (Forklift and Wave) on daily basis
Operates MHE (Forklift and Wave)
Adheres to manual handling techniques
Assists in monthly warehouse inspections
Assists in racking audits
Supports and adheres to any safety initiatives
Participates in safety training

Education Level
Vocational/TAFE
Essential Experience
Forklift experience and licence
Warehousing experience
Handling of dangerous goods and packing processes (Preferable)
SAP experience and other WMS systems
Beginner to Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
Experienced in order picking, despatch/receivals, replenishments and stock control
Familiarity with quality control procedures
Knowledge and skills
Aware of SDI’s current Quality policy and objectives
Excellent knowledge of warehousing processes in a warehouse environment
Good knowledge of current safety regulations
Experienced with data entry/inventory control systems with a high degree of accuracy
Support DIFOT reporting and results
